This project is investigating implementing vehicle-reidentification algorithms district-wide. Inductive loops are already in wide-spread use and could be more effectively used to calculate travel times if such algorithms were available.

The data backhaul for BHL is going to be mirrored with a WiMAX network. If this network has a high enough throughput and is found to be reliable, it will replace the current microwave one, lowering BHL overhead.
